The much-anticipated 2024 Uganda-Kenya Coast Tourism Conference and Familiarization Trip officially commenced on 20th November 2024 in Kampala, Uganda, bringing together tourism stakeholders from both countries to strengthen regional cooperation and promote sustainable tourism.

Building on the Success of Diani 2023

This year's event follows the tremendous success of the 2023 conference held in Diani, Kenya, which attracted over 200 tourism stakeholders, primarily from Uganda’s private sector. The 2023 conference was marked by productive discussions, networking opportunities, and a familiarization trip that showcased Uganda's rich tourism potential to selected tour operators from Kenya's coastal region.

Participants hailed the 2023 event as a resounding success, with numerous Ugandan businesses reporting new partnerships and ventures with Kenyan counterparts.

Kampala Takes the Spotlight in 2024

For 2024, Kampala serves as the host city, further advancing the resolutions made during the Diani conference. The conference promises to offer insightful discussions on enhancing cross-border tourism, exploring new opportunities, and addressing shared challenges.

Stakeholders from Uganda and Kenya are actively involved in shaping the event, with an emphasis on creating actionable strategies for long-term collaboration.
