Uganda-China Tourism and Cultural Symposium 2025
Kampala, Uganda – The inaugural Uganda-China Tourism and Cultural Symposium is set to take place from January 20th to 26th, 2025, marking a milestone in the cooperation between Uganda and China in the tourism and cultural sectors. Under the theme "Bridging Cultures, Enhancing Cooperation: Unlocking Uganda-China Tourism Potential," the event is poised to strengthen cultural exchanges, foster tourism partnerships, and promote sustainable development.
Organized by Uganda's Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kampala, the symposium will bring together key stakeholders from both nations, including at least 15 tourism industry leaders and members of the Chinese community within Uganda and the East African region.

Additionally, China's domestic tourism sector recorded an impressive 1.5 billion trips, showcasing a well-developed and thriving market.
This collaboration between Uganda and China provides a platform for Uganda to attract Chinese tourists, benchmark on China's successful domestic tourism strategies, and explore investment opportunities in the sector.
