Uganda Tourism Satellite Account Popular Version March 2023

This TSA report introduces Uganda's first-ever Tourism Satellite Account, providing an official measure of tourism’s contribution to the economy in 2019. The TSA report offers estimates of tourism's economic impact in 2019, including GDP, foreign exchange earnings, employment, investment, and collective consumption. Additionally, it presents non-monetary indicators such as hotel occupancy rates and the number of establishments for the year 2019.

This Uganda Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) Report provides a comprehensive analysis of the tourism sector's impact on the economy in 2022. It presents insights on tourism's contribution to GDP, as well as expenditures and trips for inbound, domestic, and outbound tourism. This TSA report also presents tourism's role in employment, foreign exchange earnings, investments, and tourism-related consumption for the year 2022.
